Naphtali Knox has been a planner since the late 1950s. Prior to starting his own consulting firm, Naphtali H. Knox & Associates, in 1981, he was a planner for the Air Force, the cities of Des Moines, Iowa, and Palo Alto, and the University of Chicago. In 2004, the California Chapter of the American Planning Association selected Knox for its leadership and service award. In March, he is scheduled to receive APA's national planning award for distinguished leadership by a professional planner.
