The City of Clovis, California (population of approximately 115,000) is offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced planning, engineering, or building operations professional to server as Director of Planning and Development Services. With an annual budget of $14.7 million and 55 full-time employees, the Department of Planning and Development Services consists of three sections: planning, building, and engineering. Reporting to the City Manager, the Director of Planning and Development Services plans, organizes, and directs the planning, engineering, building, and community investment programs; advises the City Manager and City Council regarding planning and development matters; and performs related work as required.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of increasingly responsible professional and administrative experience working in an Engineering or a Planning Department for a municipality or county government, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity in a municipal or county government.

The annual salary range for this position is $153,372 to $186,432. In addition, the City offers an excellent Executive Management Benefits package, including CalPERS retirement.
