The City is seeking to fill two positions.
San Carlos (pop.29,837), “The City of Good Living,” is in the center of the San Francisco Bay Area with San Francisco 25 miles to the north and San Jose 25 miles to the south. The Community Development Department is organized across four divisions: Current Planning, Advance Planning, Building, and Economic Development and Housing. The Department is supported by a team of 23 FTE with a FY 2023-24 budget of $8.7 million.
San Carlos seeks two forward-thinking Senior Planners who enjoy working in a collaborative and dynamic team environment. These creative urban planners will be proactive, responsive problem solvers who embrace innovative strategies. They will join a welcoming and talented team working in a city with an incredible organizational culture. Ideal candidates will have four (4) years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in urban planning or related field.
