Special Event: Planning for Aging Communities – Nov 2nd , 2009
A special event in conjunction with UCLA Extension will be held on Monday, November 2, at the Westin Pasadena Hotel to explore the nature of today's inter-generational relationships in regards to housing and transportation decisions. We will consider what role cities can play in addressing the needs of an exploding older population and what responsibilities belong to the families. What are the options? How do cities plan for more age integrated communities and why should they? What are the lessons learned? Anyone with an interest or expertise in housing and transportation issues will benefit from this special event.
The event will run from 9am to 2pm with breakfast and lunch included for a fee of $85. CM (AICP) credits available. For more information regarding speakers or to enroll, please contact UCLA Extension Public Policy at (310) 825-7885, or by visiting www.uclaextension.edu and referencing course code V3823.
